What is Magnet Fishing? - Great White Magnetics

What is Magnet Fishing?

Magnet fishing is a simple concept yet a very fun and rewarding activity. What is magnet fishing you may ask? It is quite simple and involves a high strength high quality magnet tied to a rope!

Users will generally have a thicker than usual rope with approximately 20 metres of length. They stand on a river bank, dock, pier or damn and toss their magnet into the water. They then slowly pull their magnet in with their rope and they have got a catch!

However they are not searching for fish but rather any ‘ferromagnetic’ material such as steel, tin, iron, nickel and cobalt. Finding raw materials sounds boring though, right? But imagine the products and treasures that are made out of these!

Are you ready for your next adventure, because you may find things like_

  • Stolen Safes (hopefully full of money)

  • Old Magnetic Coins

  • Antique Swords & Daggers

  • Historic WWII Guns

  • Phones / Cameras

  • Watches

  • Bikes

  • And so much more!

The possibilities are endless and it is actually possible to earn an income from magnet fishing! We will cover this in another blog in the near future!
